finally got time to fix this dude up.. i must say this set was totally awesome !!! thought the vest abit tight where i need to remove the neck/throat protector.. the boots was the best of all..swapped the bendy hand with an old HT stock hands. THe glove easy to fit. Tonnes of gears and accessories..!!

Soldier Story - PMC Instructor

Soldier Story had done it again with a "marvel"ous release with the best Headsculpt to date under their belt. The likeliness of Obidiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) in Iron Man were without a doubt - uncanny.

This release also rises tonnes of critics as well. Reason behind was the lack of gears while price was tagged as regular full lot accessories releases. The headculpt was great but was rather tad abit small for the regulars.

As my blog readers (if any), you should have knew that I don't really like to display an OOB (out-of-box) figure. Same case as this figure, I've tweak and replaced some parts out. The very obvious was the pants and boots. It was abit too fashionable for a PMC instructor. Although in reality, those wears does exist but it just isn't a way to go for a warmonger.

So I've swapped him with a regular straight cut jeans and an ol' skool boots. Stealing ideas from a fellow basher CRAVE. I've adopt his style by giving a beanie hat and a fanny pack (waist pouch).

The 56-type rifle is just awesome. Fully diecast with working gimmick even on of the mag works like the real thing , where you can slot-in brass bullets. Too bad the thing can't fire any projectiles yet - but give it time.

I've taken out the grey polo shirt as well as it will add too much proportions to his look.

The TAD Stealth Hoodie Jacket also another great addition. The material use was thin and hang on naturally. The only nag I have was the wrist Velcro which kinda hard to stick on.

TAD Gear Bandoleer was another new experience to me. It fitted nicely and the 3 mag pouches hanging on perfectly.

Overall, this set was great but if the price tag could be lowered - it'll be a total sellout for sure. Still I'm loving this set as the swapped out parts I've recycled them into another bash.

War Journalist

My first non-military related bash on a war zone personnel. A war journalist released by yet another almost unknown "out of the blue" Chinese company Toy Master. A very controversial company indeed as the headsculpt was originally sculpted by Feng Studio which he claimed never authorized his work on this release. Plagiarism and copyright issue exist everywhere eh ?

This set received mix review from boards all over the world. I myself find it pretty good, but giving the price (USD90) I think it ain't everyone cup-of-tea.

It comes with tonnes of gadgets

- laptop,

- camera with 3 sizes of lens,

- cellphone with wireless headset,

- sunglasses,

- mineral water bottle,

- wrist watch

- bracelet
- a huge camera sling bag

- ID tag.

The clothing come on these set kinda average. Not your expected high quality stuff made by huge brand like Hot Toys or Soldier Story. I've swapped the vest with a Very Hot vest with actually look better but rather oversized.

I switched the boots as well,their weathering - hideous. So, I've opted for a DML boots.

I've swapped the camera bag with a Hot Toys 3-days backpack which look much more suitable for a war zone reporting.

Let's focus on the head sculpt. It was a pretty good job recast/remold someone else work and with added eye rotating system. The paint job rather bland, so I've repainted the headsculpt with my own flavor and changed his hair color as well.

The base body basically a BBi G3 bods with a very irritating flaw. Uneven length of legs. YEAP, you heard me rite !! Recently these unofficial BBi G3 have such issues. So a "ten-hut" position is near impossible. You're warned !!!

overall, I'd give it a 6.5 /10 for (not so) ingenuity releases. FYI, I'm a generous person.

Soldier Story US Army Future Combat Systems

OK, I don't usually post upcoming commercial products/items unless it catches my balls and excite me in anyway it possible can. To put it in simple term - an orgasm !!!

Upcoming release from Soldier Story nailed me on my credit card again with an awesome release of F.C.S (Future Combat - Training - System) in Multicam. According to sources (Monkey Depot) which claim that Cyre actually approved the use of their pattern to Soldier Story.

Most collectors had see them coming as DiD (the sole rival) gonna release their (not) so fair share on Multicam where they offered only gears and uniform which in my HUMBLE opinion - SUCK !!

DiD better off with WW2 (no offense to their fanboys)
